In an interview with Business Insurance, David Roth shares his insights on states’ legislation to limit the use of non-compete agreements. Specifically, he discusses Colorado’s H.B. 22-317, "Concerning Restrictive Employment Agreements," which eliminates non-compete agreements for employees earning less than $101,250 per year.
David explains that it will be challenging for employers to comply with the patchwork of state legislation, and he suggests that “multistate employers should introduce tracking mechanisms to be sure they know each state law and what to do in response.”
