Chantell Foley Named Among “20 People to Know in Law” by Louisville Business First

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Chantell Foley has been named among Louisville Business First’s “20 People to Know in Law.”

Each year the publication compiles this list to introduce readers to the professional achievers within the region’s legal industry. Chantell’s selection was based, in part, on her accomplishments in the workplace safety arena and her passion for helping people understand the law.

In the write-up about Chantell, she highlights the important perspective she gained during her journey from a blue-collar position to becoming a lawyer. And she describes the feeling she gets when defending companies in workplace safety matters with an emphasis on how good it feels when justice prevails.  Chantell also provides this key piece of advice to those younger lawyers looking to follow in her footsteps: “Be humble. As attorneys, we sometimes tend to think more highly of ourselves than we should. However, having a modest opinion of one’s importance, and not thinking you are better than other people, will help you to build genuine relationships with your clients and co-workers.”  

Chantell is a partner in the firm’s Louisville office and is a member of the Workplace Safety and Catastrophe Practice Group. She is a leader on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issues including contesting and litigating OSHA citations, representing employers during OSHA inspections/investigations, and conducting OSHA compliance audits. In addition to her workplace safety matters, Chantell also regularly handles other aspects of labor and employment law including charges of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment-related claims.
