Union organizing is on the rise. According to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) there were 1522 RC-Petition Elections held in 2022, up almost 65% over 2021 totals. Thus far, the data indicates that last year was no fluke, as 2023 election filings remain well ahead of the pace set just two years ago. This upward trend is being driven by a focus on industries not historically associated with unionization. Yet many employers, especially those in historically union-free sectors, are unprepared to lawfully and effectively respond to an organizing campaign. Don’t be caught flat-footed after a union representation petition has already been filed. |
